The lift bridge over Kettle Creek, with the Port Stanley Terminal Rail train beside the harbour

Since 1812

A fishing village with a lift bridge and a railway.

Founded as Kettle Creek, renamed for Lord Stanley, and still a working commercial fishing harbour. The King George VI lift bridge still lifts for the boats, and the old London & Port Stanley line still runs scenic trains along the creek.
